The Portuguese version of this article states:

Jefferson Peres já havia anunciado que após cumprir seu atual mandato abandonaria a vida política, mas acabou falecendo antes, vítima de uma parada cardíaca ^[1], em 23 de maio de 2008.

I take this to mean that Peres has announced that he is leaving the political life after suffering a heart attack. My fluency in Portuguese is... um, nonexistant. If I'm missing an important detail here, please correct me. Thanks. Aylad ['ɑɪlæd] 04:26, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Accent on Péres

Should this article be moved to Jefferson Péres? I see that the accent is used sometimes but not all of the time, and I don't know the rules for accents in Brazilian Portuguese. --Eastmain (talk) 17:58, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
