Tell me why it's important to include in this article that his wife is dead. Nosleep1234 10:41, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

  • The article summarises the life of the professional wrestler Jeff Jarrett. It would be remiss if it did not mention highly publicised aspects of his private life that have influenced his professional life. McPhail 16:01, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

From where I sit, it summarizes the career of Jarrett, to which his dead wife is NOT relavant. Why did the 'personal life' section not exist before Mrs. Jarrett's passing (which, I might add, was so heavily reported by the dirtsheets everyone seems to hate), and why does it even now list NOTHING else? It doesn't help the article in the least. I can point to a ton of articles that have no personal life section and it makes no difference in the article quality. Just because information is out there doesn't mean it warrants inclusion. Shall we also include Jarrett's favorite brand of toothpaste should that become posted on a dirtsheet?

But since I'm just banging my head against a fucking wall, I think I better just walk away and let the older kid win. Nosleep1234 09:10, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

  • The personal life section is sparse because there isn't a lot of information about Jarrett's personal life readily available. The death of his wife and the resulting small-scale media storm has brought the facts that (a) Jarrett was married (b) his wife is now dead and (c) he has three children to light. The information was not just reported by dirtsheets; David Sahadi and Jim Ross both commented on Jill Jarrett's passing. I don't think you can seriously compare toothpaste preferences to martial status and parenthood; the latter two are highly important sociological indicators and a central component of many people's lives. [edit] Slap Nuts

What was the deal with the shirt that he wore that said slap nuts? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.69.137.23 (talk) 03:27, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

  • In WCW, his catchphrase was "Choke on that, Slapnutz!" or "Listen up, Slapnutz!". 78.144.173.150 (talk) 16:55, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
To build on that, while I don't have a source, I do recall reading an article on the Internet the night prior to his coining of that phrase. Apparently it was the name of a bar Jarrett and some other wrestlers had visited. I wish I had a cite for that. 192.76.82.90 (talk) 22:16, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia

Listen to his song, My World, for TNA, just before you here "Don't wanna hear your big mouth talk!", you'll here the line "He ain't <something> or The Rock". 65.93.60.49 (talk) 03:39, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

- Yeah, I always heard that as "The Rock" as well. In a more recent release of the song, they edit it out, with "duck" or something similar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.143.103.206 (talk) 11:35, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Last Match

It should be noted that while it was stated at Slamiversary 08 that his match in 07 was his last match, it was in reference to his last match TO DATE, and not his last match EVER. This site makes it sound like he's retired. He in fact is not, as is evident by last Thursday's Impact!
