Jefferson Avenue is a Staten Island Railway train station in the neighborhood of Midland Beach, Staten Island, New York. It is located on an embankment at Jefferson Avenue and Railroad Avenue on the main line. This station has two side platforms. There is no stationhouse and the only exit is at the south end, which leads to Jefferson Avenue. This is notably the only station on the SIR to be named as a street or avenue directly like New York City Transit does to most stations, instead of naming a station based of the neighborhood it serves like the LIRR or Metro-North. From north to south, this station begins the descent from the embankment to the open cut.
