Jeevan Naiya

Jeevan Naiya is a 1936 film famous for being the first screen appearance and launch pad of early superstar Ashok Kumar, the film is about the social ostracization of dancing girls. The film was one of several successful Bombay Talkies collaborations between Franz Osten, Niranjan Pal, Himanshu Rai, and their leading lady, Devika Rani.
