I notice that by the passage "On his return to Paris he married Mlle Hullot, a Creole of Josephine's circle…" someone has asked in a comment, "Which Creole? Louisiana's?" Given Joséphine de Beauharnais, most likely Martinique, and almost certainly a Caribbean island. - Jmabel | Talk 05:51, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
