Talk:Jean Ichbiah
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I was trying to find out if FITALY, a tablet input system developed by Jean Ichbiah, was going to be developed for the iphone now that the development platform is opening up. I went to the Textware Solutions website and found it has not been very active. I then Googled Jean Ichbiah and found that he had died. My somewhat surprising response was to burst into tears. I never met Jean and had only corresponded with him a few times on the FITALY support forums.
I realize that this tearful response for me embodies the best of what the Internet has to offer. It amazes me that I, a college dropout with no computer training, was able to reach out and interact with and be touched by this great mind.
He must have already known he had brain cancer when he was emailing me about my ideas. I just want to say that I will always feel inspired by and grateful for Jean Ichbiah. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.210.124.229 (talk) 16:28, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
