This sentence seems to indicate that his field of expertise was the Mexican government rather than economics.

I agree that my translation of that sentence is awkward and slightly confusing. Do you have a suggestion of how to reword it? MOXFYRE (contrib) 19:47, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Maybe something like "In 1957 he was appointed as a United Nations expert on economic affairs [for/to] the Mexican government and to the economic commission for Latin America."

Should the list of hist publications be translated? I assume the titles shouldn't be translated, but what about formatting conventions and things like "avec la collaboration de..." MOXFYRE (contrib) 21:50, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
