It looks to me from a quick survey that the standard spelling is Dorat, not Daurat (for Renaissance French, as for Renaissance English, spelling is a very fluid phenomenon, but it looks as though most scholars are using Dorat - as a sanity check, I ran a google search of both "jean dorat" and "jean daurat" and got 3 times as many hits for Dorat.

I can't say much about the article, I'm afraid, as I haven't found much on him yet in English, and my French is very rusty.
