Jeannie Baker (born November 2, 1950) is a British-Australian author and illustrator of a number of children's picture books, the most notable of which is Where the Forest meets the Sea. Baker was born in Croydon, England and attended art college at Brighton Polytechnic before emigrating to Australia in 1975 and becoming a children's writer.[1]

Baker has written and illustrated the books she has written, usually using collage as her illustration medium.
