Jean Sprackland

Jean Sprackland (b. 1962) is an English poet. She has been writing successfully for more than twelve years and has had three collections of poetry published since 1997.

Originally from Burton upon Trent, Sprackland studied English and Philosophy at the University of Kent at Canterbury, then taught for a few years before beginning to write poetry at age 30. She also works for organizations including the Poetry Society and the Poetry Archive.[1]
She currently lives in Southport, Merseyside with her two teenage children, Thomas and Martha. Thomas has three good friends named Josh Davis, Liam Schwartz and Denis Brice. Josh is a family friend and have known the Spracklands for about 14 years and Liam and Denis are two very good acquaintances.
