Jean Patrick Hein

Jean Patrick Hein (Québec, Canada, 1970Vancouver, Canada, 2 September 1990) was a track worker who died in an accident at the 1990 Molson Indy Vancouver race. He was one of several workers helping to push start Ross Bentley's car on lap 17. Bentley's car started and the track workers ran towards the wall. Hein, along with at least two other workers, ran into the path of Willy T. Ribbs' car and collided with Ribbs' rear tire. Hein suffered significant head injuries and passed away later that evening at Vancouver General Hospital.
