Jean Brown is an early twentieth century poet from the Leamington, Ontario area, known for her descriptions of local farm life and of agricultural workers. At one time she was recognized in the curricula of local high schools and by the Jean Brown Literary Society, but she is now largely neglected. Her poetry was published only in limited run editions produced by local printers.
