This image, Jean Mitry.jpg, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (Cun) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because the use of a single cover "to illustrate an article discussing the person in question" is allowed. Absent of an official or private picture of Mitry, it logically follows that this single cover used in conjunction with its fellows to illustrate an article on the person to which it is written by. Also:

1. it is a low resolution copy of a book cover;
2. it does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the book in any way.
3. copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the cover artwork on another book.
