[edit] About James
I was a free-lance columnist and web designer for the San Francisco Herald based in San Francisco, California from 1999 until 2003. I am also an artist and created much of the digital artwork for the paper and its website during those years. My articles were mainly about life in San Francisco in the late 1990's, including evictions, scams, jobs, roommates, and politics. I joined the US Army after September 11, 2001 and served a tour in Iraq. I left the Army in 2006 and have written several articles about life in the military and Iraq. I currently work and reside in Doha, Qatar.
