JCSAT-9 is a Japanese telecommunications satellite. It was launched by a Sea Launch Zenit 3SL rocket on the 12 April 2006 from the offshore Ocean Odyssey launch platform. Launch occurred at 23:29:59 GMT. Separation from the launch vehicle occurred at 00:38:02 GMT, and it is now in a Geosynchronous orbit.
