Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, holds an all hands call with U.S service members assigned to Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) 236 in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, Oct. 5, 2007. The PRT's are small operating bases to which civilians and military specialists perform reconstruction projects for the people of Afghanistan to enhance security and improve their lives. Mullen is on his first tour of the central command area of operations visiting with the leadership and service members assigned to the region since becoming chairman.
