Jaro

Jaro Berce (born on 23 October 1954 in Ljubljana).

At the beginning of his professional career, his work focused only on research and development of information technology & electrical engineering systems (computers, software, communications, hardware). Later on, the understanding that implementation of information system needs also organizational and other changes, he started to build his expertise also in the fields of project work (management, strategy, team leading, organization, interpersonal communications-coordination) and consultant (management and entrepreneurship) work (change management, strategic planning, restructuring, entrepreneurial, costs, information technology).

During past times, he was involved in project management on behalf of multinational consulting companies, CIO and project manager within Slovenian private and public administration and teaching and training (project management, entrepreneur, SME, information technology, consultancy) at university level. Comfortable taking on responsibility and charismatic communicator, he has proven successful management and leadership abilities in both the public and private sectors.

Currently he holds a Project management and a Teaching position within the Social Informatics Center of the Faculty of Social Sciences^[1], University of Ljubljana.

Jaro Berce achieved a degree in electrical engineering (BA) at the Ljubljana University, gained masters degree in computer science in the U.S.A. and received PhD from the Faculty of social science at the Ljubljana University.
