Talk:Jazz Age
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Please don't revert. The Jazz Age had much to do with Jazz, but the two are not synonymous. Of course, if there were a pre-existing article to which this one could be redirected to/merged with, that's a different story. Thanks. ~ Dpr 07:02, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
The Jazz Age was also considered the "American High" in context to an era where things were looking better than the pre-Depression time of the Roaring 20s. Piecraft 15:16, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Major Revision
This article is badly in need of being rewritten. There is incorrect information, vandalism, and no sense of organization. In fact there is barely anything on the Jazz Age itself, and yet the only subsection is devoted to homosexuality. For example, there is not a single mention of the flappers, Harlem Renaissance, etc. I would take it up myself, but am quite busy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.105.76.107 (talk) 04:06, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Decline in values?
This article says there was a decline in values. Since 'values' are always kind of a disputed subject, couldn't we say that there was a change in values from the previous era? Redtitan 02:56, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fitzgerald
Huge error here. The Great Gatsby wasn't published in 1920 as it appears in the article, it was 1925. Futhermore, it wasn't his first novel. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.209.147.195 (talk) 19:21, 2 May 2007 (UTC).

[edit] make no sense
You people make no since. I am reading the "The Great Gatsby" now. And it wasn't his novel you dim wits. If any of you had any common sense to read the decation page, it would say "once again for Zelda", his girlfriend, therefore there was a book before that. You people shouldn't even be on Wikipedia if you can't read. Signeddarkness 19:17, 28 October 2007 (UTC)signeddarkness

[edit] Merge with Roaring Twenties?
Since the Jazz Age and the Roaring Twenties are essentially synonyms and both of these pages contain nearly identical information, would it be a good idea to merge the two together? I imagine this would likely be the page merged into the other one, since it is of far lower quality than the Roaring Twenties page.
