[edit] License tagging for Image:JTt.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:JTt.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:07, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Images uploaded to Wikipedia must have clear sources and licenses. You uploaded the image Image:Koppar.jpg without any source information. I have no way of confirming that You have the rights to release this image to Public Domain or use a Fair Use license. Remember only the photograph or the owner of the image can give out and change image licensing information. If this indeed is meant to be a promotional image for a company or such then it can be released under a fair use license (images from a web page that is for press use or promotional use clearly written). You can a) add a proper source and change to a proper license on this image or b) upload a new image with proper information (source, license). feydey 16:39, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sourcing images

When uploading Your own photographs, please write in the Summary who took the photo, where was it taken, when was it taken and who is in the photo and what it depicts. All this verifies that You took the photo an d helps other editors to use the photo in an article. Please consider adding some info to the photo summaries. Thanks, feydey 16:39, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

To verify that this photo is indeed released into the public domain, could you please arrange to have some statement to that effect placed on your company's website? Thank you, --RobthTalk 07:56, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
