[edit] Lost Highway page
I notice that on the 3rd Osvillager added a link to the official Lost Highway page, which was subsequently removed by Stellmach. It seems to me that having a link to their record label's page about them is useful, why was it removed? Adam McMaster 10:50, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Requested move

The result of the proposal was not moved. There is no consensus for a common name, will keep as is until agreement develops. Teke (talk) 17:48, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Jayhawks (band) → The Jayhawks — "The Jayhawks" is the real name of the band, as I think pretty much everyone would agree. But if you want to write in favor or against this proposed move, you can do so here. Korny O'Near 14:55, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Survey - in support of the move
- Support. Well, this is seeing more resistance than I thought it would. I obviously support the move, but let me respond to the two points raised against it. The first, about the basketball team, is irrelevant, since "The Jayhawks" is already just a redirect to this page; if that team's article should be moved, that's a separate issue. The second, about the "the" often being lowercased, doesn't really hold water; do a web search on "the beatles" to see how often that band's name is given a lowercase "the". Their article still has the "the", as does just about every other band with that kind of name. Plus, note how the name appears on all their album covers. Korny O'Near 16:00, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Survey - in opposition to the move
- Oppose The university of kansas men's basketball team holds quite a bit of notablity. The name should be a disambiguation page or a redirect there. 205.157.110.11 21:24, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. Most uses both on the article and in other sources refer to the band mid-sentence as "the Jayhawks" as opposed "The Jayhawks", which suggests to me that the definite article should be left off. Chris cheese whine 04:18, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose but move to The Jayhawks (band) instead. PC78 14:02, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:The Jayhawks-Tomorrow the Green Grass (album cover).jpg
Image:The Jayhawks-Tomorrow the Green Grass (album cover).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:02, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- The use of the image on this page doesn't qualify, since we should be able to find a free image of the band, so I've removed it from the info box. Adam McMaster 11:10, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
