Jaya Savige

Jaya Savige (born 1978) is an Australian poet.[1]
He was born in Sydney, and his childhood was spent on Bribie Island and in Brisbane boarding at Nudgee College. He studied at University of Queensland, completing an M.A. in in creative writing. His first collection of poems, latecomers (UQP 2005), was awarded the 2006 Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry. Savige currently tutors in English Literature at the University of Queensland.
