Jasrota is the capital city of the Jasrotia rajputs having beautiful castle which they built to fight the sikhs or any external threats which they perceived from the other rulers of that time. Still the palace exists there and reminds us about the graty history Jasrotia had, it is situated on the banks of river Ujjh . It is situated around 60 k.m from the Jammu city. Now the place has been covered under the Jasrota Wild life century but still the Jasrotia Rajputs meet there once in a year to remember their great history and also they organise a Yagya for the temple which has been built inside the palace .
