[edit] Character Overview
A tall, muscular guard, he is one of the favorites of both Warden Leo Glynn and Unit Manager Tim McManus. Throughout the series, he and Officer Joseph Mineo are some of the only officers seen in all six seasons.
[edit] Season 1
Jason Armstrong was one of the COs who was assigned to Emerald City, taking care of Emerald City opening gate. When the riot erupted, Armstrong called help and ran to Emerald City. When he got out of his room, Ryan O'Reily spanked him using a chair, letting Jason unconscious. Tim McManus made a deal with Kareem Said, where he would trade himself with hurted COs Armstrong and Joseph Mineo.
[edit] Seasons 2 and 3
Armstrong was a background Officer, always breaking fights and patrolling.
[edit] Season 4
Under the reign of Martin Querns and Simon Adebisi, Emerald City became a unit with the majority of African Americans inmates. Soon, Querns transferred all the White COs out of Emerald City, including Armstrong.
[edit] Season 5
Once again, Armstrong is only a background character.
[edit] Season 6
After Kareem Said's death, fellow Muslim Zahir Arif assumes the leadership of the group. Arif continues with the book-biding lab with his group. Burr Redding decided to take the Homeboys out of the drug business, making them work at a telemarketing business. After some confusion, the Homeboys, led by Poet, became interested at Arif's company. While this, the book-biding lab was with serious money problems. Redding paid Officer Armstrong to let the Christian inmate Samuel Gougeon enter Arif's room. There, Gougeon threw some liquid at the machines, destroying them.
