Jarvis Christian College is an independent four year, historically black college affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). It is located in Hawkins, Texas. It was founded in 1912, and is currently headed by President Sebetha Jenkins.

Built by Thomas Buchanan Frost in 1912 with only a mule cart and his own will. The Jarvis' commissioned him to build the school after he graduated from their instutition in Mississippi.
