From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jarrod Tavares (b. February 9, 1985) is an American Professional poker player. He specializes in Texas Hold'em and has been sponsored by Pokerstars.com to play in the World Series of Poker in 2006. He finished early in the second day of play, beating most of the field. He currently makes his living playing FullTilt Poker (www.fulltiltpoker.com).
Jarrod is an avid Mets fan and can be seen playing poker in the jersey of relatively unknown retired Met, Bob Ojeda. In a recent online interview, he stated both his strong feelings of playful hatred for the current mets, but still maintained that he would "blow" Mets "hot" third baseman David Wright if given the chance.
[edit] Online Controversy
Jarrod was also a controversial member of the 2+2 forums, going under the name of BobOjedaFan. He was primarily a member of the Puzzles and Other Games Forum, but his most noteworthy 2+2 accomplishment was his epic battles with other members of the Sporting Events Forum. Jarrod's strange sense of humor and unorthodox posting style culminated in a very controversial banning which shocked many longstanding members of the community.
