Jar City (Icelandic: Mýrin (pronunciation )) is director Baltasar Kormákur's fifth film. It is based on the book Tainted Blood by Arnaldur Indriðason. The film was awarded the Crystal Globe Grand Prix at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2007.
