Was the reference to New World wine really irrelevant? Michael Jackson drew a similar comparison. Dr-john 12:27, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge proposal

An editor has proposed merging Black Nikka into Japanese whisky. This is the place to discuss the merger.

I favor a merger either into Nikka (my first choice) or Japanese whisky. The topic of the article Black Nikka is a single product with a single brand. The article on either the maker or the product classification would be fuller with this information merged. The information can be split between the two articles or duplicated wherever it benefits both. Fg2 (talk) 22:38, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
I believe that both Black Nikka and Japanese whisky are independently notable. Therefore keeping both articles would be the better choice. I see more potential for a merge between Black Nikka and Nikka. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 22:44, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
On consideration, I feel that a merge to Nikka is preferable. Have altered the merge templates to reflect this.Unagi Inu (talk) 04:27, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
