[edit] WP:MILHIST Assessment
A very interesting subject; I had not known about this at all before. I look forward to expansion on the subject; also, a little clean-up is necessary. "HK" should not be used in this context, and neither should "HK people's". Try to avoid abbreviations, and seek more proper phrasing; perhaps something like "The Japanese Military Yen owned by the people of Hong Kong..." LordAmeth 18:22, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] First issuance of Japanese Military Notes
The wiki article says "The Imperial Japanese government first started issuing the military yen during the Russo-Japanese War in 1904." However, an article [[1]] written by Bank of Japan in Japanese language says "It was 1894 during Sino-Japanese war that the first military notes were issued by Japan in five denominations." Which statement is correct?218.216.99.67 11:41, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] cite tags
I find some cite tags recently added by (i think) 218.216.99.67 unnecessary. They are backed in the Hong Kong Reparation Association page and also some on the Global Financial Data page i added. ian-Kiu 05:23, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
