[edit] Surat Thani

Where was the landing at Surat Thani? AFAIK there is no coastal village named Ban Don, that is the old name of Surat Thani town itself. The whole section should be enlarged - but sadly I have no real information to do it myself. I only know that the province hall caught fire during the fighting and burned down, and also heard the story that the Japanese at first entered Tha Thong river instead of the Tapi, thus arriving at the town delayed. But sadly I have no citation for this. andy 21:56, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
