Many tectonic maps, including two over at Plate tectonics, show the Japan trench as dividing the Pacific plate and the North American plate, not the Eurasian plate. A lot of off-site maps show the northern half of Japan (including Tokyo) as being on the North American plate. --75.58.54.17 17:20, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
