Jangl develops and delivers phone services that offer people greater control and freedom when talking, texting and socializing. Jangl's vision for Phone 2.0 services was first announced in August 2006. The first Jangl service will allow consumers to talk or text with anyone, using their mobile phone, without ever exchanging their real phone numbers.
Jangl was founded by Michael Cerda and Ben Dean in 2005 in Pleasanton, California. Through July 2006, Jangl has raised a total of $9 million in two rounds of funding. Investors include Cardinal Venture Capital,Labrador Ventures and Storm Ventures.
