"wine columnist"? Jobjörn 20:59, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
- Jan Myrdal actually wrote a wine column for the magazine Vår bostad for some time (possibly a couple of years) in the 1990s. Clearly a minor activity of his. I've taken the liberty of editing out the 'wine'. --Anders Püschel 08:42, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
He kept writing the "Vår bostad"-column about wine at least until 2003, maybe even until 2004. Several of the columns were collected in the book "Myrdal Om Vin" (named after his coulmn.)I agree it was a minor activity of his and that calling him a "wine columnist" in general would give the wrong impression. Columnist is correct since he is also a political columnist in "Folket i Bild - Kulturfront". -L. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.248.164.54 (talk) 12:54, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
I take issue with the claim that Myrdal has argued "for the right of islamists in Sweden to make anti-Semitic statements". Where's the citation? True enough, when defending free speech, Myrdal has included even those whose speech approaches or is 'hate speech', but the wording here suggests that he has somehow argued that islamists in particular should be exempt from prosecution for this kind of speech. That is not the case, as far as I know. --Anders Püschel 08:42, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
