Janne Korhonen (born March 30, 1970 in Oulu, Finland), 193cm/120kg, is a Finnish taekwondo athlete. He used to compete in the ITF (International Taekwon-Do Federation)'s competitions. His best achievements are three European Championships´ gold medals in 1992, 1993 and 1999.
Janne Korhonen started to train combat sports at the age of 12. After a few years of karate, he started taekwondo. After being promoted as a black belt in 1991, he deputed in the national team of his native. His competitive career in taekwondo lasted from 1988 to 1999.
Janne Korhonen is also known as a good all-round athlete having, for example, thrown the 2K discus 58,32m and run the 100m in 11,2 s. He is a medical doctor by profession.
