Janine Sharp (born January 17, 1956) is a theatre director, playwright, performer and educational practitioner.
Born in Brighton, Sharp currently lives in a village in Herefordshire
Sharp is best known for her role as a children's television presenter on BBC's Play Away with Brian Cant in 1981, filling in for a pregnant Floella Benjamin at the time.
Sharp began her career as a professional performer in 1980 with Pentabus Theatre, touring the 5 counties of The West Midlands.
She is now a freelance Director and Playwright specializing in devised new work and adaptations of children’s books for Theatre, including The Borrowers and Stig of the Dump for The Courtyard Theatre Hereford
