Janet Lindup was a former principal ballet dancer with CAPAB. Lindup had been a company principal since an astonishingly promising debut in her teens. Lindup was famed for partnerships with Jeremy Hodges and Johnny Bovang. Lindup retired from dancing in 1999 and now teaches pilates. Lindup will appear as Caliope in the Cape Town City Ballet's December performances of Orpheus in the Underworld. She is married to Jon Hardy, a former cricketer.
