Jane Kim is a Korean-American member of the San Francisco Board of Education[1] residing in San Francisco, California. While the School Board is officially a non-partisan elected position Kim is a member of the Green Party along with board president Mark Sanchez [2]. Kim was elected in 2006 finishing first of the 15 candidates running for three seats. Kim also run for the board in 2004 finishing Seventh of twelve for four positions.

Kim was the former Youth Program Director at Chinatown Community Development Center. She also co-founded Locus Arts, a volunteer-run performance venue and worked as Fellow at Greenlining Institute.[3] She holds a degree in political science and Asian American studies.[4]
