Jan Schäfer (born 18 October 1974 in Dresden) is a German flatwater canoer.
He competed at the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics, and won a silver medal in the K-4 1000 metres event in 2000 with teammates Björn Bach, Stefan Ulm and Mark Zabel.
