Jan Juta

Jan C. Juta (September 1, 1895-December 4, 1990) was a painter and muralist closely associated with the writer D. H. Lawrence. He illustrated Lawrence's book Sea and Sardinia and executed a well-known painting of Lawrence which presently hangs in Britain's National Portrait Gallery (United Kingdom).
After a career ranging from France and Italy to South Africa, Juta settled in New Jersey, where he died in 1990.
