User talk:James086/Watchlist philosophy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have 5,744 pages watched not counting talk pages on mine. Still, it takes me five minutes to check generally. Why? Because I simply don't check every page. I look at ones which might be interesting (RFA, AN/I etc), sometimes obscure articles I watch that have been vandalised, but it rarely takes me long. Only after a two week wikibreak does it actually take much time for me. Majorly (talk) 21:06, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Aha, that's interesting, we have a different approach on watchlists, I always take a look at the changes (unless it's AIV or UAA with a descriptive edit summary) for each page. I'll add a note asking people to add different techniques/usage patterns to the page. Just out of curiosity, did you watchlist this page? James086Talk | Email 06:19, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
