[edit] Article rewriting=

Article rewritten, to some extent. Not satisfactory however.-$@ur@BH-- 17:28, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello

I am from Jamshedpur and I feel this article poorly developed. It contains nothing but big lists of names and places. Anyone else who would want to rewrite the article? -$@ur@BH--

  • Jamshedpur is perhaps the first Indian city, which was planned from its birth. The industrial city has contributed immensely to India's industrilization and growth. Editors who are familiar with the city are requested to further develop the article, say on the lines of Chennai. Thank you.--Bhadani 18:23, 17 July 2005 (UTC)

i proud to be jamshedpurian "first private Iron and Steel company of India, Tata Steel" - ?? Sounds wierd. the government owned companies were set up around 50 years later and IISCO was also privately owned for a long time.

[edit] Questionable statistics

Here's the statement from the article: "Jamshedpur has an average literacy rate of 82%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 71%."

How can this be?Fconaway (talk) 00:51, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
