What were his special achievements, and what was his occupation.

In Who Was Who in America: Historical Volume, 1607-1896, he is listed as having been born in Golconda, Illinois. Any idea why there may be such a discrepancy? Badbilltucker 16:06, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
