[edit] Coincidental link with Zollicoffer

"The Gallant Dead: Union and Confederate Generals Killed in the Civil War" includes an unlikely story told by a James Chrisman of Wayne County KY, who claimed that he ws the man who shot Confederate General Felix Zollicoffer during the battle of Mill Springs. Several pages of the book are online - this one is at http://books.google.com/books?id=n68PYDn6OPYC&pg=PA350&lpg=PA350&dq=%22james+chrisman%22+kentucky&source=web&ots=s80Yfuq_bT&sig=6QRhci-yVusdKBECm9KYGRhGMZc

The name and county are the same as the James Chrisman who is the subject of this article, except this Chrisman supported the Confederate side and the alleged killer of Zollicoffer clearly did not. I assume given the name and place of residence that it was a relative of some sort. Anyone have any idea? Euryalus 11:19, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
