I would like to ask if we can remove the COI tag for this article. I have worked to clean up the entry following the WP:BIO and WP:COI guidelines, citing sources and references along the way. Objections? Deuces are wild! (talk) 07:27, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

I would request that this article not be deleted. Mr Runde is an author of significant research and material about the rail and transportation industries, as evidenced by the book referenced below. It seems to fit the notability guidelines as published by Wikipedia. Barney1014 17:37, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

New CER book on rail freight transport in Europe

6 February 2007

At the occasion of the historic date of the full opening of the European rail freight market on 1 January 2007, the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) published a new book. The volume “Competition in Europe’s rail freight market” brings together thirteen academics, top business executives and politicians who give their views on the current challenges of the sector and describe scenarios for the future.

In an introductory chapter, Christoph Wolff from McKinsey&Co. looks at the rail freight markets in Europe and beyond. In the first part of the book on the politics of rail freight, Chris Nash from Leeds university gives a detailed insight into the theory and practice of infrastructure charging, one of the most important regulatory topics in European transport policy. James Runde from Morgan Stanley adds a chapter on financing railways, before the Dutch Transport Minister Karla Peijs, the European ERTMS Coordinator Karel Vinck and the CEO of Russian Railways RZD, Vladimir Yakunin, look at concrete initiatives for improving framework conditions.

In the second part of the book, four top business executives look at the requirements from the operator’s and from the customer’s perspective. Eva Molnar, lecturer at Budapest university and former transport sector manager at the World Bank gives a detailed account on the developments in Central and Eastern Europe. Last but not least two chapters assess the opportunities arising from innovation and technology as contribution to a sustainable rail freight transport system.
