James McKinney Elementary School is situated in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada that serves students from Grades K-7 and is a part of the Richmond School District (SD38). It was named after a pioneer farmer who lived in Richmond. The school is located on the west side of Lassam Road. It feeds the Steveston (soon to be Steveston-London) high school. The current principal of this elementary school is Pamela Essex.

The school was originally built as an annex to the Lord Byng Elementary School. In 1996, the school underwent a renovation where many classrooms were added including a new office.
