James Lick High School

James Lick High School is a high school in the East Side Union High School District located on Alum Rock, on an unincorporated community in San Jose. The school was named after James Lick, founder of the famous nearby Lick Observatory. As of 2005, the high school had 1130 students, of which 75% are Latino. The 2004 API score of the entire school was 587.

Lick High School was built in 1950 and is the oldest of the eleven high schools in the ESUHSD. The mascot of the school is the comet, and the school colors are green and white.
