James Kennaway (5 June 1928–21 December 1968) was a Scottish writer.
His best known novel was his first, Tunes of Glory, set in the army just after the Second World War. It was turned into a well known film starring Alec Guinness and John Mills. This was not entirely typical of his later output.
He died in a car crash at the age of only 40.
