James Henry Fleming

James Henry Fleming (born in Toronto on July 5, 1872; died June 27, 1940) was a Canadian ornithologist. His father was Scottish and sixty years old when he was born. J. H. Fleming became interested in birds at age 12. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Institute at 16 and by 21 was an associate member of the American Ornithological Union. In 1916 he became a fellow of the AOU. He maintained a vast collection of specimens useful for research.[1]
