James G. Oldroyd

James G. Oldroyd is a former President of the British Society of Rheology. He formulated the Oldroyd-B model to describe the viscoelastic behaviour of non-Newtonian fluids.
Oldroyd was professor of mathematics at the University of Wales, Swansea from 1953 until 1965 and head of the applied mathematics department from 1957 until 1965.
