James Finch

James Finch is the owner of the Phoenix Racing team in NASCAR. They field the #1 Miccosukee Chevrolet driven by Mike Bliss in the Busch Series and the #09 Chevrolet driven by Sterling Marlin part-time in the Sprint Cup series.
In all, Finch has also fielded cars in Winston/Nextel Cup for the following drivers: Sterling Marlin, Mike Wallace, Neil Bonnett, Jeff Purvis, Geoffrey Bodine, and Johnny Sauter.[1]
Jason Keller was released early in the 2006 season. Mike Wallace and Cale Gale split the driving time for the remaining races of 2006.
The team switched to Chevrolet for the 2007 season with Mike Wallace driving the new #7 car with sponsorship from Geico. J. J. Yeley piloted the #1 Miccosukee Chevrolet in the Busch Series. Mike Wallace ran a limited number of Nextel cup races in the #09 Miccosukee gaming Chevrolet including the 2007 Daytona 500, where he finished 4th.
Sterling Marlin replaced Mike Wallace in the car for the fall race at Phoenix International Raceway, and plans to run about 10 races in the car during the 2008 season.[2]
James Finch was born in Panama City and built his original race shop in Lynn Haven very close to Panama City. Before he recently moved his race shop, you could go in the race shop and take pictures next to the Kodak Funsaver with Jeff Purvis when he was there.
