James Atebe is mayor of Mission, British Columbia, Canada, a suburb of Vancouver.

During the 2005 election in Mission, Atebe was endorsed by the former mayor Sophie Weremchuk (New Democratic Party, 1987-1990).

Atebe was a roommate of the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper at the University of Calgary.
